As Muslim organizations express concern, the Karnataka government bans the film "Hamare Baarah."

Bengaluru: In response to concerns expressed by certain Muslim organizations, the Karnataka government has banned the showing of the Hindi film "Hamare Baarah" for at least two weeks.

The government issued an order delaying the movie's and its trailer's release across electronic platforms, social media, movie theaters, private television channels, and other media.

According to the decision, a number of Muslim organizations petitioned the government to forbid the film's distribution because it presents Islam in a "instigative and derogatory manner" and because approving the film will incite animosity amongst various cultures and faiths.

According to the organizations, there has been a plot to harm Muslims' religious feelings, disrupt tranquility, and specifically target a particular faith.
