Four Indian medical students drown in river near Russia's St. Petersburg, 1 rescued: Indian mission

The Indian missions in Russia reported on Friday that four Indian medical students had drowned in a river close to St. Petersburg. They also stated that they were working with Russian authorities to arrange for the bodies to be sent to the students' families as soon as possible.Four of her friends attempted to assist the female Indian student who got into difficulties after wading out from the shore on the Volkhov River, according to reports in the Russian media. Three more people perished in the river while trying to save her.

Locals rescued a third boy to safety, according to reports in the local media.
