In Mulugu, Telangana, a bomb set by Maoists exploded, killing one and injuring two.

Hyderabad: On Monday, near Kongalagutta in Vajedu mandal in Mulugu district, a device set by Maoists to kill the police detonated, leaving one person dead and two injured. Both the police and the locals were alarmed by the occurrence, fearing that the Maoists might lay other explosives on the hill to destroy the police. The three inhabitants of Jagannadhapuram village, I. Yesu, Ramesh, and Faqeer, went to Kongalagutta hill to gather wooden sticks, according to the police. Yesu stepped on the explosive by mistake as she was approaching the slope. It erupted as a consequence, seriously injuring Yesu (55).
