According to AFP on Saturday, an Indonesian woman was discovered dead in central Indonesia after being completely ingested by a five-meter-long python. Farida, a 45-year-old woman, lived in South Sulawesi province's Kelampang hamlet. The mother of four had not come home after going missing on Thursday night. Farida's husband and other family members started looking for her since they were worried about her. Subsequently, the husband discovered his wife's possessions close to the village. When the villagers discovered a python with an unusually huge belly, their suspicions intensified. After deciding to cut open the enormous snake's stomach, they discovered Fareda's lifeless corpse.
The village chief Suardi Rosi told AFP that the mother-of-four had vanished on Thursday night and had not returned home, prompting a search and rescue operation.
