Sharmajee Ki Beti trailer: Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher fight against societal expectations in Tahira Kashyap's touching film

Tahira Kashyap makes her feature film debut with Sharmajee Ki Beti, following the direction of two short films. The film's teaser, released on Wednesday, provides a glimpse into the lives of three women who face varied societal conflicts on a daily basis, with one common thread connecting them. Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, and Saiyami Kher play the film's lead roles.

The trailer begins with a quick introduction to the three main characters. It begins with Jyoti Sharma (Sakshi Tanwar), a middle-class teacher striving to make ends meet and dealing with a teenage daughter who is self-conscious about her appearance and wavy hair. Next, we meet Kiran Sharma (Divya Dutta), who recently relocated to Mumbai from Patiala. She is struggling with the arrogant attitude of the large city people and longs for attention from her busy husband, who appears uninterested in her. Finally, there's Tanvi Sharma (Saiyami Kher), a cricketer who, as an unmarried woman, is constantly fighting patriarchal standards to maintain her job. As they encounter these pressures, they learn to conquer their worries and live life independently.
