Call from the lieutenant governor to PM Modi
In New Delhi, Lieutenant-Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan paid visits to Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Saturday, Mr. Radhakrishnan had a meeting with the Prime Minister; on Sunday, he had a meeting with the Home Minister. According to a statement from Raj Nivas, the lieutenant governor commended Mr. Modi on securing a third term as the nation's prime minister. The announcement stated that he spoke with the Prime Minister and the Home Minister about various strategies for the development of Puducherry.
In March, Mr. Radhakrishnan took the oath of office as Puducherry's lieutenant governor. After BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan resigned to run for governor of Telangana and lieutenant governor of Puducherry, he was given the extra responsibility of serving as both governor and lieutenant governor of both states.
