Forget Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, IPL 2024’s top 3 Indians with highest strike rates are not even in T20 World Cup reserves

There have been a plenty of debates regarding the strike rates of certain batsmen in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Interestingly, none of India’s top three Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli are in the list of top five cricketers with the best strike rates with a minimum of 200 runs in this year’s edition. Virat Kohli, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) opener sits on second spot in the IPL 2024 Orange Cap standings with 500 runs from 10 innings (just nine runs behind CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad), his runs have come at a strike rate of 147.49. Team India captain and Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma has amassed 315 runs at a strike rate of 158.29 and his form will be in focus given the T20 World Cup is now just one month away. Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal, after a slow start to the tournament, has picked up form and has managed 316 runs with a strike rate of 157.21.
