"The department has canceled bids of Rs 3,600 crore that were awarded by the previous Mahagathbandhan administration for the rural water supply system. 350 PHE Department bids totaling Rs 826 crore have already been cancelled by us. The department has so far canceled contracts for more than Rs 4,400 that were decided upon under the previous administration," he stated.

Patna: Public Health Engineering Minister Niraj Kumar Singh said on Friday that the Bihar government has canceled contracts for rural water supply projects worth Rs 3,600 crore that were submitted by the previous Mahagathbandhan administration.

 Speaking during a news conference, Singh stated that the department's investigation revealed that appropriate areas were not covered and that proper procedure was not followed while floating these bids. As a result, the decision was made.
