During India's six-run victory over Pakistan in New York on Sunday, the former India coach praised Rishabh Pant's wicketkeeping while presenting him with the best fielder medal.
After fielding coach T Dilip declared that Rishabh Pant, a former India player who made three critical catches and hit a valuable 42 off 31 balls, would receive the best fielding award, Ravi Shastri was greeted with a boisterous shout in the dressing room.
Hardik Pandya, the vice captain of Team India, remarked, "Do line bolna hoga (You have to give a small speech)," as soon as Ravi Shastri entered the room.
