Industrial incentive arrears of Rs 3,736 cr were neglected by the BRS government.

Hyderabad: According to data obtained from the industries department, the previous BRS government, which boasted that its TS-iPASS industrial policy had made Telangana the nation's most industrialized state, had left behind arrears for mega, medium, and small-scale industries totaling Rs 3,736 crore by the time it left office in December 2023. The BRS administration withheld industrial subsidies valued at Rs 728 crore for megaindustries and Rs 3,007 crore for medium- and small-sized businesses. Every year, money for industrial incentives was set aside in the budget, but the precise amount was never disclosed.
