Instagram is severely down everywhere, especially in India.
At the height of an outage around 12:02 p.m. in India, over 6,500 users reported having trouble accessing the platform, according to Downdetector.
New Delhi: Thousands of users were unable to load Reels and access other choices on Saturday due to a significant outage that affected the Meta-owned Instagram platform worldwide, including in India.
Around 6,500 customers in India reported having trouble accessing the platform during the peak of the outage, which occurred at approximately 12.02 p.m., according to website outage tracking website Downdetector.
Roughly 58% of respondents said they had issues with the feed, 32% with the app, and 8% with the server connection.
The app caused problems for users in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and other places.
People were frustrated that they couldn't load Reels, log into the app, and other things, so they took to X to vent.
A user posted, "Everyone heading to Twitter to see if Instagram is down."
"I couldn't believe my fyp looked like this, so I assumed my Instagram account was compromised." Usually it's just brain garbage #instagramdown," commented a different user.
"I'm heading to Twitter to see if it's just my Instagram that's down, or we're all experiencing #instagramdown," said another user.
