Hyderabad: In the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, six BRS MLCs joined the Congress late last night, striking a serious blow to the party led by K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

The Telangana Legislative Council website states that Congress currently has four members and BRS has twenty-five. Two members of AIMIM, one each of the BJP, PRTU, and an independent MLC, make up the four nominated MLCs. The 40-member house has two open seats.
Shortly after Revanth Reddy's return from a two-day visit to the nation's capital on Thursday night, the MLCs became members of the Congress.
