Kartik Aaryan, star of Chandu Champion, acknowledges not every film will be a box office hit.

On Friday, June 14, Kartik Aaryan's Chandu Champion debuted to favorable reviews; nevertheless, the movie's box office performance fell short of the popularity of his previous hits, which included Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Kartik stated in a recent interview that he has a fair opinion on the box office receipts and box office success of his movies and that the most important thing to him is that the movies he stars in should be lucrative for his producers.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Kartik talked about the commercial expectations for his films. "Eventually, we all want films to be profitable," he admitted. "I don't mind the stats, but it needs to be lucrative for my producers. My work is done because my producers and exhibitors are profiting from my flicks. There's just so much strain I can take; relaxation is irrelevant. Everything else exists only to make headlines.

Kartik, who is regarded as one of today's most successful stars, claims that even if he is thrilled with the reviews for his movies, he still feels nervous when he considers the box office. "Who wouldn't want more numbers?" he asked. However, I've accepted that not every movie will be a financial success. I have early Friday jitters and I want to be the box office gold standard even though I don't know the method.

Kartik's Chandu Champion, a biographical sports drama based on the life of India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar, was expected to replicate his 2022 Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 box office performance. However, the film has had a slow start at the box office and is currently creeping towards the Rs 30 crore mark.

After Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 with Tabu and Kiara Advani earned Rs 266.88 at the global box office, Kartik has been enjoying a career high. He is currently filming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Tripti Dimrp and Vidya Balan.
