Vijayawada: On Wednesday, the 25 members of Andhra Pradesh's Council of Ministers, led by N. Chandrababu Naidu, will take an oath of office.
The lone Deputy Chief Minister in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led administration would be Pawan Kalyan, the president of the Jana Sena Party.

Three Jana Sena Party members and one Bharatiya Janata Party member are on the list of 24 ministers that was made public early on Wednesday (BJP). The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is represented by the others.

At a public ceremony to be held at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada, Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will administer the oath to Chief Minister-designate Chandrababu Naidu and his Council of Ministers. Naidu delivered the list of ministers to Nazeer.

The TDP's Andhra Pradesh unit president, K. Atchannaidu, the head of the Jana Sena Party's political affairs committee, Nadendla Manohar, and Chandrababu Naidu's son, Nara Lokesh, who serves as general secretary, are among the members of the Council of Ministers.

The Governor will give 74-year-old Chandrababu Naidu, who led the NDA to a resounding victory in the just finished elections, the oath of office and secrecy at 11:27 a.m.

The swearing-in ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of several states, leaders of NDA allies, and Union Ministers of Health and Home Affairs Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda, among other Union Ministers.
After meeting with Amit Shah and J.P. Nadda late on Tuesday night at his Amaravati house, Mr. Naidu finalized his ministerial team.

Only Satya Kumar Yadav is a member of the BJP who will be sworn in as a Minister.

Nadendla Manohar, Kandula Durgesh, and Pawan Kalyan are the three ministers from the Jana Sena Party.

There are 17 new members of Mr. Naidu's ministerial team. The rest had previously held the position of minister.

There is one vacancy held by the TDP Chief.

There are three women on the Council of Ministers.

The lone Muslim visage is that of senior leader N. Mohammed Farook.

Eight ministers from the backward classes, three from scheduled castes, and one from scheduled tribes are on the list.
Both the Kamma and Kapu communities have four ministers apiece, according to Mr. Naidu. The Cabinet now includes three members from the Reddy community and one from the Vysya community.
Pawan Kalyan hails from the Kapu group, whereas Mr. Naidu is a member of the socially and politically influential Kamma community.

In last month's elections, the TDP-led alliance decisively defeated the YSRCP to take power. Out of the 175 members of the Assembly, it won 164 seats.

While the Jana Sena Party won every seat it ran for, the TDP alone took home 135 seats. Out of the ten seats it ran for, the BJP won eight.

There are now just 11 members of the YSRCP, down from 151 in the last Assembly.
