Says Yusuf Pathan that he "felt same tension" prior to the 2007 India-Pak final about Adhir's shock

Yusuf Pathan was under strain of a different type in Baharampur, West Bengal, when he received a call from a friend who wanted to see how he was doing. Votes were being counted as Pathan, making his political debut, faced up against Congress veteran and five-time MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.
"Prior to the South Africa 2007 World T20 final between India and Pakistan, I had experienced the similar stress. While traveling to Kolkata to meet with his party boss Mamata Banerjee, Pathan, a former cricket player who is now a TMC politician, told The Indian Express that this helped and that he knew he could manage it.
