UGC NET June 2024: 4,73,484 students took the exam during the first shift, and 4,35,096 candidates took the exam during the second shift.

On June 18, the National Testing Agency (NTA) carried out UGC NET June 2024. The exam was administered in two distinct stints, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 3 to 6 pm, covering 83 subjects using the OMR (pen and paper) method.
In June 2024, UGC NET was held for three purposes: (i) "appointment as Assistant Professor and award of Junior Research Fellowship," (ii) "appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD," and (iii) "admission to PhD only."
