There are calls to bring the various sections of the AIADMK back together in the wake of the disastrous Lok Sabha poll in Tamil Nadu. V K Sasikala, a former significant aide to the late party leader Jayalalithaa, is leading this effort.
Former leaders close to Sasikala and former Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam have called for unity and have sought out to current leaders of the party, such as AIADMK General Secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
