Hyderabad: The District Educational Officer (DEO) has issued a directive prohibiting the sale of uniforms, shoes, and belts on school property by any private institutions (SSC, CBSE, ICSE). The May 30 order directed all Deputy Educational Officers to organize a mandal level committee to oversee private schools on a regular basis and to make sure that no belts, shoes, or uniforms are sold on school property. "All the Deputy Educational Officers and Deputy Inspector of Schools of Hyderabad District are requested to take the action accordingly," the order reads. The sale of books, note books, and stationery at the school counter, if any, shall comply with the court orders and be conducted on a non-commercial, no-profit, no-loss basis; if not, bring the situation to the attention of the undersigned so that appropriate action can be taken.
