For INR 21.6 Cr., Nazara Purchases A 100% Interest In The Subsidiary Nextwave

Nazara Technologies, a notable gaming company for INR 21.6 Cr, Nazara Technologies Data labs _in-article-icon has revealed that it has purchased an additional 28.12% of Nextwave Multimedia Private Limited, the company behind the World Cricket Championship series of mobile cricket games. Through the transaction, Nazara would own a 100% share in the business. In January 2018, Nazara had first purchased the bulk of Nextwave's shares. Later, in May of last year, it paid INR 15.5 Cr in all cash to purchase an additional 19.5% share in the subsidiary, bringing its overall stakeholding to 71.88%. The gaming and entertainment behemoth claimed that the recent acquisition of a 100% share in Nextwave will assist Nazara in expanding its portfolio of products in the virtual interactive sports genre in India and other growing regions.
