India's oldest billionaire Keshub Mahindra passes away at 99

ndia's oldest billionaire and veteran industrialist, Keshub Mahindra, passed away at the age of 99. Mahindra, who was the chairman emeritus of the Mahindra Group, had been admitted to the hospital earlier this week due to age-related health complications. Mahindra was a towering figure in the Indian business world, having led the Mahindra Group for over three decades. Under his leadership, the group diversified into various industries, including automobiles, aerospace, and hospitality. He was also a vocal advocate for sustainable business practices and was known for his philanthropic initiatives. Born in Lahore in 1923, Mahindra started his career in the Tata Group before joining Mahindra & Mahindra in 1947. He quickly rose through the ranks and became the company's chairman in 1988. He continued to play an active role in the group's affairs even after stepping down as chairman in 1997.
