FIDE CEO Emil Sutovsky told The Indian Express that one of the variables determining whether India's capital hosts the forthcoming World Chess Championship this year might be the air pollution that New Delhi sees every year in the last months of the year. In the World Chess Championship, 18-year-old challenger Gukesh of India will face off against current world champion Ding Liren for the opportunity to become the youngest world champion in history.
