In "Ishq Vishk Rebound," three best friends—two men and a woman—perform the "luv-shuv" dance. It is not a follow-up to the 2003 smash hit "Ishq Vishk," in which debutant Shahid Kapoor danced and prancing his way into the hearts of the audience, even if it is supported by the same producers, Tips.

It is a Gen Z take on the youthful rom-com genre, or rather, what it aspires to be. Thus, what was formerly referred to as a "triangle" has grown to become a quartet that alternates between them, pausing briefly before continuing on, all the while anticipating which one will emerge victorious in the end.
