TTD Disproves Annaprasadam Claims on Social Media

Tirupati: Viral claims on social media alleging alterations being made to the Lord Venkateswara Temple's Annaprasadam preparations have been sharply criticized by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). According to the sources, TTD has chosen to switch back to conventional rice for Annaprasadam, abandoning the use of organic rice. Officials from TTD vehemently refuted this story, stating it is wholly untrue. J. Syamala Rao, the TTD executive officer, met with priests and temple authorities recently to talk about matters concerning Annaprasadam. However, according to a TTD statement issued on Wednesday, no decision has been made on altering the schedule or raising the amount (Dittam) of Annaprasadam.
