Umamaheshwara Rao is taken into custody by ACB to question him further in Telangana

Hyderabad: On Wednesday, Assistant Commissioner of Police Umaaheshwara Rao of the Hyderabad Central Crime Station (CCS) was taken into custody by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) detectives from Chanchalguda jail for additional questioning. In relation to a case involving excessive assets, Rao was taken into custody on May 22. The judge only granted the three days of custody that ACB authorities had requested. Recall that the officials had discovered assets valued at approximately Rs 3.95 crores. After being first detained, Rao was placed under judicial custody for 14 days.
