Hyderabad: With the release of the eagerly awaited Nag Ashwin film "Kalki 2898 AD," Hyderabad's streets were turned into a festival site. Videos and pictures from the intense celebrations soon went viral, including large gatherings of admirers making posters of Prabhas, setting off firecrackers, dancing to the beat of the dhol, and, of course, causing traffic jams.

Before 5 am, throngs of fans were in line to watch the special shows that were broadcast at several theaters throughout the city. Numerous theaters, including the venerable Sandhya Theatre, were transformed into Prabhas fan clubs. Outside the theater was a massive cutout of Prabhas decorated with firecrackers.

On opening day, "Kalki 2898 AD" is anticipated to bring in over Rs 200 crore.

Fans danced to the rhythms of the dhol while playing hits like "Bhairava Anthem" from the movie and other hits starring Prabhas. Prabhas, alias Bhairava, had his AI-powered car, Bujji, parked outside Prasads' theater, attracting people who were anxious to take pictures.There have been severe morning traffic jams as a result of this.


Benefit events telecast at numerous theaters in Hyderabad attracted large crowds in spite of an increase in ticket prices. In Telangana, movie tickets cost Rs. 265 for single screens and Rs. 413 for multiplexes (not including 3D fees). It is anticipated that these prices will stand for the next seven days.
