A former member of the YSRCP MLA was arrested in Andhra for allegedly raping a young girl.

Kurnool: According to an official on Friday, J Sudhakar, a former YSRCP MLA, was detained by Andhra Pradesh police on Friday for allegedly raping a young girl over the course of more than four years. On Thursday, Sudhakar, a 50-year-old former Kodumuru MLA, was taken into custody after a 17-year-old girl reported him to the police and provided them with "video evidence." According to Vijay Sekhar Reddy of the Kurnool sub-divisional police office, "he (Sudhakar) raped the minor girl several times from the year 2019 to 2023 when she was working as a maid in his house," PTI was informed.
