According to a physician at Delhi's Lok Nayak Hospital, the majority of those impacted by the heatwave were laborers or rickshaw pullers, and the majority of them were older than 60.

In the last 72 hours, five fatalities have occurred in Delhi, the nation's capital, as the intense heatwave persists. At three hospitals, heatstroke claimed the victims' lives. Over ten deaths have occurred in Noida in the past 24 hours.

Both Safdarjung Hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Delhi have recorded one death apiece. The number of patients admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital due to the heatwave is approximately 36.
At Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP), three individuals lost their lives. On June 16, a vehicle mechanic succumbed to heat stroke. The technician was  admitted to the hospital on June 15 with a high fever of 106 degrees.

Another victim of heat stroke was a 70-year-old Bihari man who had missed his train and was wandering around the station.

More than seven patients with signs of a high fever that reached 106 to 107 degrees were hospitalized to the LNJP hospital. Three of the patients are older than 65, and five of them have been placed on a ventilator.

The majority of these individuals had severe dehydration, heat stroke, an electrolyte imbalance, and a fever above 105 degrees.

In Delhi's small clinics and other private hospitals, the average number of patients experiencing heat stroke is rising.Dr. Suresh Kumar, managing director of LNJP Hospital, stated that laborers and rickshaw pullers made up the majority of those impacted by the heatwave them were above 60 years of age.
