BJP defeated in Chhindwara; Kamal Nath bets on new tribal face for crucial bypoll.

The family of prominent Congressman Kamal Nath is preparing for a new challenge after losing the Lok Sabha elections in their stronghold of Chhindwara.

The newcomer Dheeran Shah Invati is the favorite in the July 10 Assembly bypoll in Amarwara, a Scheduled Tribe (ST)-reserved seat that is a part of the Chhindwara parliamentary seat, according to Nath and his son, former MP Nakul Nath. Whether the family can recover from the loss in the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat, which Nath has represented seven times since 1980, will be determined by the outcome of this election. Nakul won it in 2019, but Bunty Vivek Sahu of the BJP won by a margin of one lakh votes this time.
