Black Men Sue American Airlines Alleging Racial Discrimination After Being Requested to Exit a Flight

New York: On Wednesday, African American passengers who were momentarily asked to leave an American Airlines aircraft in January filed a lawsuit against the airline, claiming they were targets of racial discrimination. A lawsuit was filed in federal court in New York by three of the men. They claimed to have seen five other black guys who had also been ordered off the airplane when they were told to exit a plane that was ready to take off in Phoenix. The three, who were seated in separate sections of the aircraft and did not know one another, claimed an airline employee informed them they were being removed due to a complaint made by a flight attendant over a passenger's body odor. The men claimed they replied that it seemed their race was the only reason they were singled out for deportation.
