ESG Startup Eco Ratings Secures Pre-Seed Funding To Assist Companies in Achieving Their Objectives

In a pre-seed investment round, cleantech firm EcoRatings raised $1 million (INR 8.3 crore) in grants and stock from a variety of investors, including We Founder Circle, 888 VC, Vinners, Indigram Labs Foundation, and Google. According to EcoRatings cofounder and CEO Aditi Balbir, "the funding will be used to acquire paid data sources, increase the number of tokens and introduce multi-modal capabilities," Inc42 reported. EcoRatings is a cleantech firm that was founded in 2023 by Balbir, Aqeel Ahmed, and Shruti Anand. It uses big data and AI/ML to measure the environmental effect of its products and services. The methodology used by EcoRatings, which is based on ESG standards and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, is in line with consumers' growing desire for product sustainability transparency.
