As the Conservative Party was about to suffer a historic electoral defeat, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak conceded defeat to Labour Party leader Keir Starmer. Based on current indicators, it appears that Starmer will be the next prime minister of the United Kingdom after the Labour Party gains a majority in the House of Commons.

According to Rishi Sunak, there was much to consider and learn from the "sobering verdict" that the British people had rendered.
