Kajol's "The Trial" Co-Star Noor Malabika Das Found Dead in Mumbai Apartment; Suspected Suicide

Hyderabad: Noor Malabika Das, a 37-year-old actor and former air hostess from Assam, was found dead by suicide. Her body was discovered on June 6 in her Lokhandwala flat in Mumbai after neighbors alerted authorities to a foul odor coming from the residence. This led the Oshiwara police to investigate the scene.

Officials forced entry into the flat and found Das' decomposed body. Following a thorough search of the premises, the police collected several items, including medicines, her mobile phone, and a diary, which are now in their custody. The body was then transported to Siddharth Hospital in Goregaon for a post-mortem examination.

Reports indicate that despite efforts to reach her family, no one came forward to claim the body of Noor Malabika Das. Consequently, the police, with the assistance of the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, conducted her last rites on Sunday. This NGO specializes in cremating unclaimed bodies in the city.

Das enjoyed a successful career in Hindi films and web series, appearing in notable projects such as Charmsukh, Dekhi Andekhi, Siskiyaan, Walkman, Teekhi Chutney, Jaghanya Upaay, and Backroad Hustle. She also featured in The Trial, an Amazon Prime series starring Kajol and Jisshu Sengupta.
