Lesser-known IIT courses: Polymer Science and Engineering course at IIT Roorkee

One of the special departments of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), which is housed on the campus of Saharanpur, is the Department of Polymer and Process Engineering (DPPE). In the fields of chemical engineering, process engineering, polymer science, and polymer engineering, the department conducts basic and applied research. 

The Polymer Science and Engineering department at IIT Roorkee offers a four-year, eight-semester Bachelor of Technology (BTech) curriculum. Basic yet crucial ideas in mathematics, information technology, chemistry, and chemical engineering are covered in this curriculum. Thermodynamics, mass transfer, energy balance, and other concepts related to chemical engineering are also taught as instruments to aid in the correct comprehension of the intricacies of polymer processing.
