MM Keeravaani said the Oscar felt valuable when Ramoji Rao got excited about it.

The first Indian film song to win an Oscar was Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli's RRR, making history. Following their win of the Academy Award for Best Original Song, writer Chandrabose and music composer MM Keeravaani were honored at a special ceremony in Hyderabad. There, Keeravaani disclosed that he knew he had to win the honor because of Ramoji Rao.

At the 95th Academy Awards, Keeravaani's song defeated superstars like Lady Gaga and Rihanna, but the composer was more thrilled that Ramoji was the recipient. Speaking at the function, he stated that the award only meant something to Ramoji when he was thrilled about it.

"My wife always says that one must live like Ramoji Rao, if only for a day," he remarked. When I first learned that I was an Oscar nominee, I was not thrilled. However, Ramoji Rao instructed me to take the award home when we met. I reasoned that I had to win the Oscars since he was placing such a high value on them. Even in the moments before the award was revealed, I was anxious because I thought the prize had significance at the time. For him, not for me.
