On domestic routes, Air India will begin offering a three-class cabin arrangement on July 1.

On Wednesday, Air India declared that it would provide new Economy cabin experiences on short-haul international flights, along with a brand-new Premium Economy and Business class.

The A320neo aircraft operated by Air India will now be equipped with the new three-class layout.

"The addition of a three-class cabin to Air India's narrowbody fleet and the start of interior refits are important steps in the journey of enhancing the flying experience," stated Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Air India. Our A350 fleet, the new B777s, and all other widebodies that will be renovated over the next two years will all benefit from the updated widebody experience, which is now offered on our narrowbody fleet, which runs on the domestic and short-haul international network. An essential part of being a top-tier airline is this thorough improvement of Air India's physical offering."

In order to provide its customers more options, Air India has outfitted two brand-new A320neo aircraft, VT-RTW and VT-RTZ, in a three-class arrangement with eight opulent seats in Business, 24 extra legroom seats in Premium Economy, and 132 cozy seats in Economy. With this, Air India debuts Premium Economy cabins on narrowbody aircraft for the first time.
