The NEET retest and counseling process for 1,563 candidates are not to be suspended by the Supreme Court.

In response to the National Testing Agency's petitions, the Supreme Court has decided to delay the proceedings before higher courts regarding the NEET scandal.

The NEET retest and counseling process for 1,563 candidates are not to be suspended by the Supreme Court.

On the advice of a highly influential commission, the Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the retest that was suggested for 1,563 National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test candidates. The candidates had received grace marks to make up for their insufficient exam time, but those scores had been canceled.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the entrance exam for undergraduate medical admission, and the Center received notices from a vacation bench made up of Justices Vikram Nath and S V Bhatti. The bench also marked the petition for a stay in addition to other exam-related petitions, the hearing for which was scheduled for July 8.
