Lauderhill, located in southern Florida and the site of three T20 World Cup Group A matches over the next three days, is currently experiencing an uncommon flash flood situation. The governor of Florida has issued a state of emergency for Lauderhill's home county of Broward County.
Pakistan was always going to have a difficult time making it to the Super 8 stage of the present T20 World Cup after they were humiliated by the USA in their initial match.
It was especially painful for them to lose to India in the second game, which they could have won comfortably after holding India to 119 runs in the first innings. However, Pakistan overcame Canada to win back. Pakistan still has a mountain to climb in the days ahead, though. And it will be difficult due to the weather in Lauderhill, Florida, the location of the most important Group A games.
