Kolkata: Dwarikesh Pattanayak's body landed at the airport in Kolkata on Saturday morning after he passed away in the tragic Kuwaiti fire.

BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul and West Bengal Minister Sujit Bose were two of the people who gave their final respects to the people living in the Paschim Medinipur area of the state.

Sujit Bose stated in an interview with ANI, "The state government will do everything required."

When asked if the victim's family had received any compensation, Bose indicated he would be unable to comment.

In the meantime, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul has requested that the State government pay for his teenage daughter's schooling and has sought that the deceased's family receive Rs 10 lakh in compensation.

"We demand from the state government that compensation of a minimum Rs 10 lakh should be given to the victim's family and sponsor the education of the 14-year-old daughter of the deceased who has to appear in the board exams next year."
