Highlights of DC vs. LSG: DC severely hurts LSG's hopes of making the playoffs

Delhi Capitals ended their group stage campaign in Delhi with a 19-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants, securing their spot in the top four—at least mathematically. With one game remaining against the Mumbai Indians, LSG is also not out yet, but both clubs will need a lot of other results to go their way if they want to finish in the top four. LSG led the match until the final over after going down 44 for 4 in a chase of 209, courtesy of 61 from Nicholas Pooran and an undefeated 58 from Arshad Khan at No. 8. But Rasikh Salam held off 20 off the last six to give DC its seventh IPL 2024 triumph. In a high-scoring area, DC needed to score 200 or above to have a shot at collecting two points. After being asked to bat, Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs shone with fifties to power DC to 208 for 4. With the ball, Ishant Sharma ripped through LSG early with three wickets and even though Pooran and Arshad tried their best, LSG kept losing wickets at the other end to eventually fall short.
