Janhvi Kapoor remembers experiencing a "panic attack" while promoting Dhadak, following a reality show's unexpected tribute to Sridevi: "I began crying and howling."

Because of the unique bond she had with her late mother Sridevi, Janhvi Kapoor was devastated when the actor unexpectedly passed away a few months before the premiere of her maiden film, Dhadak. Janhvi talked about the moment she had to promote her movie even though she was going through a serious catastrophe in her personal life in a recent interview. She related how, once, while filming a dancing reality show, an unexpectedly moving movie in her mother's memories caused her to have a panic attack. Janhvi stated, "I went on a dance show and it was right after the incident," in a Mashable India interview. Dhadak was something new, and I was promoting it. My group was making sure that I don’t get reminded of my mother, but this show didn’t tell us that they were going to give a tribute to mom. So they played an audio-visual of all my mother’s songs with an emotional voiceover, and these kids started dancing to pay homage.”
