The opening of Nalanda University's new campus is scheduled for approximately 10:30 am.
In 2016, the Nalanda Ruins were designated as a UN Heritage site.
The ceremony will be attended by foreign envoys from 17 different countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the ruins of the old Nalanda University in Bihar on Wednesday. In 2016, the ruins were designated as a United Nations Heritage site.

An official release states that PM Modi will officially open the new Nalanda University campus at approximately 10:30 a.m. After that, he will also speak to the group. This will be the first formal visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the state after he was sworn in for a record-breaking third term.

Ahead of Nalanda University's inauguration on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's historical connections by stating that the institution will "go a long way in catering to the educational needs of the youth."

PM Modi remarked, "Today is a very special day for our education sector," taking to X. Today, at approximately 10:30 AM, the new Nalanda University campus in Rajgir will be opened. Nalanda has a close bond with our magnificent region."
