Shatrughan Sinha discusses Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to Zaheer Iqbal after being silent.

At last, Shatrughan Sinha spoke out about his daughter, actress Sonakshi Sinha, getting married to actor Zaheer Iqbal, who happens to be her boyfriend. Shatrughan Sinha stated in a Zoom interview that he hasn't discussed his daughter's wedding arrangements with anyone. Additionally, he said that whenever the couple tells them about the wedding, he and his wife will bless them. As previously reported, the couple is set to tie the knot in Mumbai on June 23.

Shatrugan seems nearly completely ignorant when discussing Sonakshi and Zaheer's nuptials. "I'm in Delhi right now," he stated. I came down here via plane after the election results. I haven't discussed my daughter's plans with anyone. So, you want to know if she's getting married. 

She hasn't told me anything about it, is the response. I know as much about this as what the media has told me, but it's not all that I know. Jitna maine padha hai. My wife and I will bestow our blessings on the couple if and when she confides in me. We constantly wish her happiness."
The politician-actor further clarified that his daughter is entitled to her own autonomy. "We have total faith in her judgement. She would never act in violation of the Constitution or the law. She has the freedom to choose as an adult who gives consent," he continued.
"Having said that, I would like to say that whenever my daughter gets married, I would like to", he remarked be dancing right in front of the baaraat."

Additionally, Shratughan Sinha restated his desire to learn more about the wedding. "Those who know me well are asking why I don't know about this, even if the media is aware of it. All that I can say is that these days, kids don't ask their parents for permission; they just tell. Aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maap-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain. We are awaiting word," he remarked.
