Users of Nandini milk will receive 50 ml additional with each sachet starting on June 26 if they pay an extra Rs 2.

Regular Nandini toned milk (blue packet) currently costs Rs 42 per litre, but this will soon rise to Rs 44. This price revision is the third in the last eighteen months and the second in the last year.

Users of Nandini milk will receive 50 ml additional with each sachet starting on June 26 if they pay an extra Rs 2.

According to the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), customers would receive an extra 50 ml every sachet of Nandini milk, but the price per liter will increase by Rs 2 as of June 26.

KMF claims that the 500ml and 1000ml packages would now include an extra 50ml of milk at the updated rates. The lowest-priced kind, Nandini toned milk, would now cost Rs 44 for 1050 ml instead of Rs 42 for 1000 ml after the change.

Reporters were informed by KMF Chairman Bheema Naik that all milk varieties will now cost an extra Rs 2. "However, given the 15% increase in milk production, this is a correction rather than a price increase. Currently, our 500 ml and  1000 ml sachets will contain 550 ml and 1050 ml of milk, respectively"

The state has increased milk prices for the second time in less than a year. In July 2023, KMF raised the price of Nandini milk by Rs 3 per litre.

Karnataka will soon produce one crore litres of milk per day, making it the largest producer in South India and the second-highest producer in all of India, according to a KMF statement.

Approximately 27 lakh farmers provide milk to KMF. It continues, saying that the cost of milk in Karnataka is less than that of milk in Gujarat (Amul) and Kerala (Milma), which are both 52 and 56 rupees a liter.
