Hyderabad: On Tuesday, prospective teachers from residential educational institutes societies staged a historic demonstration by kneeling in front of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's home, demanding that the High Court's interim directives be put into effect.

The demonstrators pulled over MLC-elect Teenmar Mallanna's car near the CM's house, demanding what they wanted. According to reports, the MLC-elect assured the candidates that he would set up a meeting with the CM.

In the previous ten days, this is the candidates' second such protest.

Aspiring teachers from all around the state came to the CM's house hoping to voice their concerns and get them resolved. They were not allowed to meet the CM, though.

Protesters claimed that the High Court's interim orders ordered the government to take into account the appointment of the next qualified candidates for the positions of physical directors, degree lecturers, junior lecturers, postgraduate teachers, trained graduate teachers, librarians, and non-joining or relinquished positions in residential educational institutions.
