Pant moves up the elite list above Gilchrist.
Pant has been dismissed ten times in the T20 World Cup 2024.

India Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper batter, accomplished the amazing record of most dismissals in a single T20 World Cup competition on Thursday, June 21 against Afghanistan in Match 43. During the match, the 23-year-old claimed three catches to remove youngster left behind several legends in the list such as AB de Villiers, Adam Gilchist, and Kumar Sangakkara among others who have nine dismissals each to their name. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gulbadin Naib, and Naveen ul Haq, bringing his total number of wickets in the present T20 tournament to 10.
With 10 dismissals from four matches, Pant went on to become the player with the most dismissals in a single tournament edition.
