Renukaswamy, 33, died "due to shock and hemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries sustained," according to the postmortem report of the man who was reportedly slain by Kannada actor Darshan and his companions, according to India Today. According to the report, he was kicked, had his testicles torn, and received electric shocks before passing away. An accomplice affirmed these allegations when questioned by the police.

Renukaswamy had fifteen serious injuries total on his body, according to HT's previous report, and the forensic evidence indicated that his head had been forcefully pushed into a car.

His hands, feet, back, and chest were all bleeding. He was severely assaulted, and blood clots caused his death. They beat him with a belt and a wooden stick. The man's face and other parts of his dead body had also been consumed by dogs, according to the post-mortem report, an officer who was aware of the findings informed HT.

A second officer reported that the police had found a number of items, including wooden logs, a leather belt, and a rope, that had been used to torture the victim.

In relation to the case, Darshan, his friend and former co-star Pavithra Gowda, as well as fifteen other people, have been taken into custody. Actor Renukaswamy allegedly infuriated Gowda by sending him derogatory comments on social media. Renukaswamy was allegedly enticed by Raghavendra, a fan club member of Darshan, to a shed in south-western Bengaluru where stolen automobiles are kept. Under the guise of setting up a meeting with the actor, Renukaswamy was allegedly tortured and assassinated.

Reports suggest some of the accused confessed that Darshan paid 30 lakh to kill Renukaswamy, dispose of the body, and destroy evidence. According to NDTV, police believe Darshan may have paid as much as  50 lakh to four men involved in the planning and execution of Renukaswamy's murder.

Police allegedly found a car on Sunday that was used to abduct Renukaswamy. In the Chitradurga district's Ayyanahalli village, the car was discovered parked at a home.

A "horrific, brutal, and barbaric" way was described as Renukaswamy's murder by Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda.


Dayananda stated the following at a news conference in Bengaluru: "It is a heinous crime committed in a horrific manner and we have to ensure that the accused in the case are punished and we have to deliver justice to the victim's family and our officers and staff are working in this direction."
