New attack on the BJP state unit by Dilip Ghosh: "Those with vested interests ruining careers"

Party leader and former MP Dilip Ghosh questioned the logic of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit's choice of candidates in West Bengal for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday, alleging that some BJP leaders with "vested interests" were "ruining the careers of others."

Ghosh's remarks follow the BJP's dismal showing in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where its total number of seats dropped from 18 to 12. Of the 42 Lok Sabha seats in the state, 29 were won by the ruling Trinamool Congress, with one going to the Congress.
