Ramesh Rathod, a former MP from Adilabad, passes away

Hyderabad: On Saturday, after experiencing health issues at his Utnoor home in the district, former MP for Adilabad Ramesh Rathod passed away. Rathod's family hurried him to a nearby private hospital shortly after he started experiencing health issues. Rathod was moved to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad when his condition worsened, but they pronounced him dead there as well. During the November 2023 Assembly elections, Rathod ran on the BJP ticket from the Kanapur Assembly constituency. Despite receiving as much as 52,398 votes, he finished third. In May 2024, he intended to run for Lok Sabha from Adilabad, but the party refused to provide him a ticket.
