For all tenures, State Bank of India (SBI) increased the fund-based lending rate's (MCLR) marginal cost by 10 basis points (bps). Days after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) held steady the key policy rate, SBI has increased the marginal cost of borrowing (MCLR).
Other lenders will probably follow suit, making loans to borrowers more expensive.


The biggest lender in the nation increased its one-year MCLR from 8.65% to 87.5%. The overnight MCLR was increased from 8% to 8.1 percent. The one- and three-month MCLR were previously 8.2 percent, however they were later raised upward to 8.3 percent each.
