The purpose of Parliament's June 24– July 3 meeting is to "work in the national interest," according to Kiren Rijiju.
The opposition, which has been revitalized, is expected to launch a fierce attack on the NDA administration over issues like the share market "scam" and NEET irregularities during the first session of Parliament.
The first session of Parliament under the newly elected National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration will take place from June 24 to July 3. This session will see the swearing in of the recently elected Members of Parliament, the election of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, and the usual address to Parliament by President Droupadi Murmu.
"The 18th Lok Sabha's First Session is called to order from 24.6.24 to 3.7.24 for the swearing-in of newly elected members, the election of the Speaker, the President's Address, and a debate of the matters raised. Rajya Sabha's 264th Session will convene on July 27, 2024, and end on July 24, according to a post made on X by Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday morning.
